Tomorrow, March 13, you're heading to the Duat, the Egyptian realm of the dead, in Assassin's Creed Origins: Curse of the Pharaohs DLC. Actually, some of those old pharaohs are coming from the realm of the dead back to the realm of the living. Show those dead people they don't belong here. Go home, dead people!

In this DLC 2 launch trailer, you can see main character, Bayek of Siwa, sporting a more traditional-looking Brotherhood outfit with plenty of sweet Egyptian gold accents. Bayek has got folks like good ol' King Tut and Queen Nefertiti to deal with, simply because some tomb-raiding jerks couldn't keep their hands off an ancient relic. So you're off to the afterlife, with immense trireme ships sailing through fields of golden wheat, where birds with human faces are more disturbing than the undead, and the miniboss fights look like an HD remake of Altered Beast. Enjoy fights with elephant-sized scorpions, too. I guess that's why the level cap raised from 40 to 55. Fifteen levels is no joke in Origins. You can punch up a couple levels above your fighting weight, but not 15. Especially if you skipped The Hidden Ones DLC, which originally lifted the level cap up to 45.

Curse of the Pharaohs is the final piece of (major) DLC for this season of Origins. If there's more coming, Ubisoft hasn't announced it yet. But, in the interest of AAA games turning themselves into "games as a service," Ubisoft undoubtedly has more up its sleeve. Perhaps this was season one, and season two is on the way. Vanilla Origins already has a lot of outfits and weaponry. But they've also released a lot of microtransactions through the uPlay store and Club Ubi. To be expected, most of the best-looking outfits and hardest-hitting equipment is to be found on those storefronts.

Assassin's Creed Origins: Curse of the Pharaohs is out March 13 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It's part of the $40 season pass, or $20 sold separately. Of course, you can also sit patiently for the inevitable game-of-the-year edition likely out this fall, with all season pass content included for a (again likely) $60 sum.
