Next Gen is
reporting that Wii shortages will continue for the foreseeable future. The article is based om comments from Nintendo Marketing VP Perrin Kaplan made on the Game Theory Podcast and she indicates that Nintendo is working hard to turn things around but demand is still very high.
I'm still waiting for a second wave of consipiracy theories to pop up. I do have to share the one I heard from a EB Games staffer last week. He espoused the theory that Nintendo was holding back numbers because the system sucked and that they were holding back the consoles to create the perception that it was a success. This is NOT my theory, I'm just passing this on as it was one of the funnier things I've heard lately.
