It's a rare treat to have a racing simulator provide a track that I have actually driven on, mostly because I have only ever driven on one real racetrack, and even that one may not be what you would call a real racetrack. I was driving a pretty good car, though: it was a Porsche Carrera 4 GTS which is in essence a roadable track car. The track I drove it on was also from Porsche - I drove that car on the FIA-certified ‘Porsche On-road Circuit' located in Leipzig, Germany.
Why does that matter? Well, it doesn't, but it is related to Slightly Mad's second DLC for Project Cars 2 which not only brings nine new Porsche's to the lineup but also brings the test track located in Liepzig. The test track is interesting in that it is made up of a collection of famous turns from other world-class tracks. The corkscrew from Laguna Seca, the Parabolica from Monza, and a collection of other venerable segments of pavement make up a highly configurable track.
As a huge Porsche fan, this is a DLC that will make a meaningful impact on my "favorite drives" list. The DLC is available here at the Steam Store for $9.99.
