No, what was it really like to work at Atari in the 1970s, according to women who were there? This all-bard D&D session went up in flames, and it was pretty great. And Firewatch's summer of '89 nostalgia romp led one player to become the world's youngest fire tower historian.
So, what are you playing?

GOG and Steam are running their battling Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year sales, which means I'm probably going to make some financially irresponsible purchases this weekend, so I'm not exactly sure what I'll be playing yet! But it will probably be on my wishlist.

If it’s not VR, I’m not touching it. When my weak and aging body can handle it, I’m playing in the semi-pro table tennis league in Eleven: Table Tennis VR. It’s yet another form of accidental exercise, but with the added bonus of being tremendous fun.
Also in my little VR world, X-Plane 11.20 is shelved until they fix the fixes that broke it. Lucky for me the VR in DCS is even better, as are the flight physics of their helicopters. Plus, and this is no small thing, they can carry and use weapons. Flying is fun, but blowing stuff up while doing it is addictive.

I have jumped feet first back into Monster Hunter: World, and loving every minute of it. I've been wandering around the early hunting grounds, indulging my worst completionist impulses and building every complete armor set that strikes my fancy. I'm also cleaning up all of the optional quests that I didn't have time for in the rush to review, and happily poking my nose into all the dark corners of the game.
Beyond that, I'm playing through a recent VR puzzle game, Pop-Up Pilgrims, for review. Think Lemmings, but in beautiful layered environments. I'm also starting a playthrough of this week's Radiant Historia refresh on 3DS, which I am super excited about. My memories of this game are very positive, but I lost my original copy (along with my precious save file) when my house was robbed a few years back. I'm excited to jump back in!

I'm previewing Ash of Gods, an upcoming Banner Saga-alike set in a (likewise) apocalyptic tactical warfare fantasy land. As the sole survivor of The Reaping, I'm a lone wanderer, a last samurai, an anime Jedi—minus the laser sword. I'm apparently just a sucker for roguelike Oregon Trail fables about the end of the world.
Then it's back to Egypt for my belated review of Assassin's Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones DLC. Plus the Discovery Tour museum mode coming next week. Then The Curse of the Pharaohs DLC two weeks after that. It's kind of a lot, Ubisoft. Don't get me wrong, Origins ain't bad. But anything taking away my Kingdom Come: Deliverance time is going to get a little side-eye from me. That's just the way it's going to be for a little while. And despite the divisive reviews popping up (both good and bad), I'm convinced I'll bring this one back up again in nine months for some GOTY talk.

It'll be more Strikers Edge for me this weekend as I try to pummel my way to violent dodgeball supremacy. Other than that, I'll try to get a better hold of the two new maps on Battlefield 1's Turning Tides. I've found that, rather than playing as my usual classes, I excel more at scout, which I have never been good at. Here's hoping for the best!

I have successfully body slammed and farted through a 15-week season of Mutant Football League and I have to say, I've enjoyed the heck out of it. More to follow in my upcoming review, but I can tell ya now—it is worth spending some coin. I can also say I've never written an essay, book, or review with the word "fart" in it, so this is a first.
I am going to be starting South Park: The Fractured But Whole Friday as well. I've waited for my brother to visit so we could have a laugh-a-thon this weekend, so I'm looking forward to that.
The Mass Effect trilogy is completed again, and the reaffirmation of its greatness was thoroughly enjoyed. I couldn't help think through the 40+ hours that the concoction of fantastic FPS action with some of the best story-telling in gaming should have been carried over to Andromeda. It could have been something special...not a special kind of not-good. That said, I may try to blunder through some of it again soon, if I can clear the vomit from my throat.
