There have been a lot of news stories this month about the predatory, greed-filled ways of major video companies. In light of that, it is refreshing to see a major game company doing something to give back to their community.
Ubisoft San Francisco announced today that they are selling a limited edition Assassin’s Creed shirt, with 100% of the proceeds going to the North Bay Fire Relief Fund, which supports victims of the recent wildfires that devastated Northern California.
“We have employees, family and friends that were directly impacted by these fires. We’ve donated money and we’ll roll up our sleeves volunteering, but we want to do more. The shirts are just one of the ways we can continue to support our neighbors who have lost everything,” said Laurent Detoc, president of Ubisoft, Americas.
The shirts (pictured below) are available for $25, and the hoodies will set you back $50, but every cent of that will go to charity. You can find both of these items at https://unite.assassinscreed.com/ until December 31, 2017.
Now quick, everybody jump on Reddit and bash EA for not coughing up some Battlefront 2 hoodies.
