It's less than a week until Halloween which means Fortnite is getting its Fortnitemares holiday-themed content update for both Save the World PvE and Battle Royale PvP modes. in Save the World players can complete new spooky story missions and explore the Hexsylvania addition to the world map. Battle Royale gets the heftier chunk of content with a load of requested features, including leaderboards, player progression and a handful of quality of life improvements. Naturally this update contains a wealth of spooktacular cosmetic items, weapons and themed enemies. October 26, 2017 - Halloween is on the horizon and Fortnite is celebrating today with the "Fortnitemares" update, bringing new content and upgrades to both "Save the World" (PvE) and "Battle Royale" (PvP).
In "Save the World" players will have the opportunity to undertake original story missions and explore the new Hexsylvania area where they'll encounter new Halloween creatures, weapons, and more.
In addition to some spooky content, Battle Royale players will see a major upgrade with the addition of highly-requested features including leaderboards, player progression, cosmetic items for heroes, and a ton of quality-of-life game improvements.

Fortnite is available now as an early access title for Windows, Mac, PS4, and Xbox One. Players can get a head start on the action by purchasing a Founder’s Pack for the "Survive the Storm" PvE mode (coming free in 2018), or challenging other players for free now in the "Battle Royale" PvP mode.
