Today, developer Atlus released the trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V. And it's heading to the Switch.
Now, it's all in Japanese, and there are no closed captions, so any information I convey is purely based on visuals (which, as any good director will tell you, is really how you tell the story).
The trailer starts out following two characters, one boy and one girl, walking in a train station. The guy wears a tacky-looking cowboy business suit but sports a slick man purse.
We then transition to an underground tunnel filled with the bodies of mythical knights and demons.
Ending the scene's focus on one demon in particular, it cuts to the same two kids from earlier, now in an apocalyptic landscape, surrounded by flying demons (and I thought I was having a bad Monday). The demons converge on him and the girl, and the trailer ends with a shot of his hand reaching to the sky, before a bunch of rose petals burst from the carnage.
