Remember me? The Overwatch gremlin? Well, I haven't been playing as much Overwatch lately, but there's no way I'd miss out on trying to drag a few more of you readers into the OW clan. That's right; Blizzard is holding another free-to-play weekend event for the game, and it's coming up fast.
Starting on Friday, September 22 at 11am PT and ending on Sunday, September 25 at 11:59pm PT, players will have access to much of the game's content, including a variety of game modes and the full roster of heroes across all of the maps. Players will be able to level up and customize their heroes, and as usual any progress you make will carry over should you decide to purchase the full game.
Since it is, y'know, an online game, players need online access. Xbox One players will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to participate, while PlayStation 4 players will need a PlayStation Plus subscription. All PC players need is a Battle.net account, but hey, we can't all be that lucky.
You can pick up the standard edition of Overwatch for $39.99 if you end up liking it, but you don't have to decide now; that's what the free weekend is for, after all.
