The European Dead Zone. This is your new Earth-based playground after the fall of The Tower in Destiny 2. If you want to get into more touchy-feely details about what it's like to exist as a Guardian in the EDZ, then we just put up a full-on preview of this new zone, complete with a good basket of juicy pics to feast your eyes on.
The European Dead Zone is an incredibly rural location, a nature hiker's dream. Tall stands of pine trees, wide lakes, rugged cliffs, and some broken-down remnants of mankind before the Golden Age. It's gorgeous, and it's the biggest map Bungie has ever made for the world of Destiny.
In the EDZ, you're introduced to several new (and several returning) gameplay elements. With NPC Devrim Kay piping into your earpiece, you discover loot, lore, Lost Sectors, and Adventures—with a capital A.
Destiny 2 launches September 6 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on October 24 on Blizzard's Battle.net (e.g. not Steam) for PC.
