The Ataribox, Atari's return to console gaming, was unveiled in a newsletter from the company. The news letter states that it was "inspired by classic Atari design elements" and they even intend to release a "wood edition" to really drive home that classic, dead tree, feeling. The console will offer classic gaming, but also modern gaming, indicated by its HDMI, 4x USB, and SD ports. The letter goes on to say:
"We know you are hungry for more details; on specs, games, features, pricing, timing etc. We’re not teasing you intentionally; we want to get this right." It's an exciting step for the company who hasn't made a new console since the Atari Jaguar way back in the 90s. Below are some pictures of the console. Check out the newsletter for more information.
