Phoenix Labs, developer of a new co-op RPG Dauntless, has released a new video showing off a new Behemoth named Skraev, as well as a new weapon class called Chain Blades.
As posted by Randy, players take on the role of Slayers, people who hunt down big bad creatures called Behemoths. Unlike in the announcement trailer, gameplay is shown in in this new video. It's clear they've made progress on the animation and style, which looks to have a distinct feel.
In case there's a need for clarification, Skraev is described as thriving "in colder climates and wields deadly frost attacks," he's probably the giant horned owl that I would definitely love to have as a pet. The Chain Blades also look to be the mini-scythes the main Slayer has on his back through most of the trailer.
Dauntless is slated for release in 2017. It's free-to-play. You can find out more here.
