If you don't remember Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, the latest game from Ninja Theory, I wouldn't be surprised. The game was announced two years ago and has largely stayed off the radar until today when Sony announced that the game will be released as a PSN digital exclusive on August 8th.
The game follows a traumatized Celtic warrior named Senua who is traveling through the Viking underworld of Hel after surviving a Viking invasion. The twist is that the mental trauma means that you might be fighting monsters that are both real and imagined.
I've been a big fan of Ninja Theory since Heavenly Sword so I've been looking forward to this for a while. Ninja Theory is claiming the game is about half the length of a AAA game so they are only charging half the price ($29.99) which seems fair. Here's a bit of a teaser to give you an idea of what the game will look like when it's released later this year.
