Kyrie Irving is no stranger to the main stage. He was the one that hit that clutch step back 3 over Stephen Curry to put the Cleveland Cavaliers up by 3 on their way to winning their first championship. He's also been on the cover of a video game before. Make it another video game cover come next basketball season.
This Fall's NBA 2K18 will feature the Cavaliers point guard superstar on its cover. He'll be front and center for the standard edition of the game. Shaquille O'Neal will be on the Legend Editions so that's one former Cleveland Cavalier (for 1 year) and one current Cavalier that will be on this year's game. There's no 2K Games cover curse (thank god), so I'm not worried that something's going to happen to Kyrie.
Let's hope this gives some good luck to the Cavs as they are playing the Golden State Warriors right now in the rubber match. Congratulations to Uncle Drew for making it as the cover athlete for another basketball game.
