StarCraft was and is one the premier real time strategy games out there and it's still immensely popular today. While StarCraft 2 has been a huge success, the original is still one of the most played games out there.
This summer, Blizzard will update the classic as StarCraft Remastered was announced yesterday. The game's graphics gets cleaned up with updates to make it look great on a 4K monitor. The online features will be beefed up to today's standards and the dialogue has been re-recorded.
What won't change is the way the game plays as it looks to retain the classic gameplay that made it so great. That's one thing Blizzard won't be messing with, which is a good decision.
Look for the StarCraft Remastered to come out this summer on the PC and Mac. No pricing has been announced yet.
