Resident Evil 7 gets it's first DLC pack today and it includes two new videotapes, and a new difficulty setting.
First up is "Nightmare" which is a new hoard mode style game where you have to survive a night in the Baker house's basement. While playing you will be able to collect scrap, which can be used to create weapons, ammo, and traps to help you survive.
The second addition "Bedroom" is a canon story expansion that takes place right after the Beginning Hour demo. Bedroom is a room escape mission. You play as Clancy and have to solve puzzles in order to escape like the "Happy Birthday" videotape.
Finally, if you thought Madhouse difficulty was too easy, there is another new difficulty mode called "Ethan Must Die" which fills the Baker house with tons of traps, enemies and randomized items. Also Ethan now has ridiculously low health and it will take almost next to nothing to kill him.
The pack will be available today on PS4 for $9.99 or is currently available for free for those who purchased the deluxe edition or the season pass.
Resident Evil 7 was an absolutely amazing experience, one that I won't forget anytime soon. It was also one of the most terrifying videogames I have ever played. Be sure to check out my review of Resident Evil 7, which should be up shortly.
