Developer Tequila Works finally re-revealed their puzzle game Rime earlier today after quite a long period of silence. Previously announced as a PS4 exclusive, it will now be available for PC, Xbox One, PS4, and even the Nintendo Switch once it releases in March.
Rime was first announced at Gamescom in 2013 as an action-adventure puzzle game set on an open-world island. A young boy has washed up on the shores and is trying to escape, navigating through stunning scenery reminiscent of The Last Guardian and even a little bit of Journey. The new trailer is quite a jump upward from the first one, and is definitely worth a watch.
The developers did not elaborate on their divorce from Sony after the company pulled its publishing deal in March 2016. Many believed that the silence meant the project was shelved permanently, but apparently not; the game is slated for release in May, with more information coming soon.
