We are halfway through November and entering the final stretch of the Fall release season. We have just a few more weeks until Black Friday, which is when things will really begin winding down for the year. Even still, there are more games demanding your money each and every week. This week has two marquee releases vying for the spotlight. One is a sequel to an adventure that came out of nowhere and took everyone by surprise back in 2012 and the other is an tribute to the the most prolific consoles ever released.
Dishonored 2 is Bethesda’s latest release which sees the return of Corvo and Emily and the Empire of Isles. Set 15 years after the original adventure, Empress Emily has had her throne stolen right out from under her by what is being referred to as an “otherworldly” usurper. This time you will get to play as either one of them, each with their own arsenal of supernatural abilities. The game offers numerous paths for both characters, regardless of which one and how you use them.
If you would rather spend your money on something a little more “old school”, the you will probably want to seek out the NES Classic Edition console. This is Nintendo’s tribute to the classic Nintendo Entertainment System. It is a lot smaller than the original system and outputs games in modern, HD resolutions. Rather than using the original cartridges, this little beauty has 30 different games built into the system from the start, including such classics as Castlevania, Super Mario Bros., Ninja Gaiden, Metroid, and Excitebike. This is definitely a must have item and the perfect gift for any and all gamers on your shopping list this year. However, I fully expect these to be very hard to get a hold of.
What are you buying this week?
