One of the best parts of any Legend of Zelda game is the music, from the classic theme of the original game to more modern tracks such as Zelda's Lullaby and Dragon Roost Island. A while back I went to see The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses and it was simply amazing and I was a little disappointed that they weren't selling any CDs of the event. Granted I know that there are orchestral CDs of the music out there for sale, but now we have a new one.
Hero of Time is an ambitious musical project by Materia Collective that looks to record all new arrangements of many of the tracks from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time using a 64-piece orchestra and release it in digital, CD, and vinyl formats. There's currently a Kickstarter campaign that runs through October 30th and right now they've raised roughly $28,000 of the $50,000 they need with four more days to go. The team behind Hero of Time also worked on other projects including Zelda Reorchestrated, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Symphony, the bonus CD that came with Skyward Sword, and The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses international tour, which as stated earlier was amazing to attend in person. If you're a fan of orchestrated Legend of Zelda music, especially from Ocarina of Time, you have four more days to help back this project.
