Better late than never I guess. If you have wanted to try out Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round on PC but didn't want to throw down the full amount for the game then this is the perfect way for you to try it out as Dead or Alive 5 Last Round Core Fighters is now available on Steam.
Dead or Alive 5 Last Round has been on Steam for quite some time and if you own that version of the game then this need not apply to you. Basically, Last Round Core Fighters is a free to play version of Dead Or Alive 5 where Ayane, Hayate, Kasumi, Ruy Hayabusa are free along with most of the other game modes. If you want more characters, you can buy them for $3.99 a piece. If you want the story mode, you can buy that for $14.99. Basically, this is for people who really only play as a few characters, and people who don't care about the story mode.
To celebrate the launch, Mila, who also happens to be my favorite character in DOA 5, will be free to download from October 3rd through October 30th on Steam
Dead or Alive 5 has become infamous because of the absolutely insane amount of costume DLC available. There is currently over $700 worth of cosmetic DLC. Now to be fair, each character in the game has a ton of costumes that can be unlocked just by playing the game. And if you are into the more fan servicey type costumes, there are those kinds of costumes that can be unlocked for free if you wish. All of these costumes have also been released over the years since the vanilla version of the game was released, so it's not like all of this stuff was kept out of the game to be sold as DLC.
Now, if you can look past the all of the fan service, Dead or Alive 5 is actually a great fighting game that fans of 3D fighters should absolutely check out. You should also absolutely check out Jeremy Duff's review of the game the PS4 version of the game.
