Probably the most requested DLC since there have been requests, Battlefront will finally be taking players to the Death Star later this month. If this trailer is any indication, it's going to be the best DLC pack yet.
Like the other packs before it, the Death Star pack introduces two new heroes: Chewbacca for the Rebels and Bossk for the Empire. The two characters were designed around the basic idea of "mayhem," as a counterpoint to the orderly and refined Death Star construction. Chewbacca will apparently perform like a tank, while Bossk is best suited for striking from the shadows. You can read more about the heroes and their abilities here.
There are two new weapons, as per usual, and being the enormous Star Wars nerd that I am, I was incredibly excited to see the return of the Bryar Blaster Pistol from Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, which can charge up and fire one powerful blast. The other is the TL-50 Heavy Repeater, which appears to be a very high fire rate rifle.
The most interesting thing by far is the new mode, Battle Station, described as a "unique 3-phase mode that will have players battling around and inside the Death Star." Based on that sentence and the trailer, it looks like we just might be assaulting the Death Star from the outside and moving the battle to the interior. The multi-phase battle is something people have wanted to see from Battlefront forever, and now it looks like it might finally be happening.
