Debuting at Gamescom 2016, DontNod, released 15 minutes of pre-alpha gameplay footage for their upcoming action-RPG, Vampyr. The video picks up in the streets of London, where the protagonist, Dr. Jonathan Reid, is getting a handle on his new life as a vampire. While it does derive from an early build, the video does show some of the early combat mechanics, gives a nice glimpse into the tone and feeling of the world the game will inhabit, and hints at some of the interesting moral choices to be made about who to feed on and the repercussions of those decisions. The game promises a butterfly effect from these actions that will effect the other NPCs significantly.
Vampyr will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but no firm release date has been set.
