The Witcher 3 inspired digital trading card game, Gwent, was supposed to move into it’s closed beta phase in September after being revealed back at E3. Developer CD Projekt Red firmly believes that first impressions are important, and because of that fact, they have elected to delay the beta phase a month.
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game will now launch in closed beta form on October 25, 2016. The reasoning behind the delay is to ensure that the product being delivered is up to the standards that they feel their customers expect. Their priority is delivering a quality experience, not just hitting a simple deadline. The beta phase is intended for PC players, who can register at the game’s official website. When it finally launches, it will also be available on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as a free to play experience.
