It looks like the long wait for the Oculus Rift is finally over. Those that order can now expect their headset to ship between 2 to 4 business days. Both major VR headsets have had their delays, but Oculus has been trying to play catch up with their backlog longer than the other. With the recent news, they should be getting them into your hands in a relatively short amount of time now.
If you want to pick them up in stores, Microsoft will start carrying them this month. Those looking for demos of the Rift, more Best Buys are being added this fall to accommodate you.
The one thing I'm really looking forward though is the Touch controllers. Having used them at CES, I found them to be really nice and in some aspects, I prefer them over the Vive controllers. They are very light weight and have a lot of controls and options at your fingertips.
We're still waiting word on its availability and pricing, but hopefully it won't be much longer before we get some official news on the controllers.
