Sean Murray, director of No Man's Sky, is characteristically quiet on Twitter. His infrequent and often cryptic tweets are one of the reasons the No Man's Sky community have a bit of a love-hate relationship with the guy. Since the game went gold a week ago, Murray has been a bit more active.
According to his latest flurry of tweets, No Man's Sky is a mere six gigabytes on disc, and most of that is audio. Whether this is a PS4 or PC disc we're talking about is unknown, but it's a bit unsettling that a game with supposedly 18 quintillion planets could fit on a PS2 game dvd.
In other news, Hello Games is already working on the first update for the game. Day one patches are nothing new to the game industry, but if this turns out to be a content pack, well that's rather telling. It only fuels my suspicion that No Man's Sky will be more monotony than boldly go, but in any case we have less than a month to wait before we find out. Come hell or high water, No Man's Sky arrives on August 9th.
