The main focus of this week's Nintendo Download without question is Kirby: Planet Robobot for the 3DS. The Kirby series is kind of similar to other franchises with multiple games where you wonder how the developers can keep the series fresh while still staying true to the series' roots. In the case of Planet Robobot, Kirby can harness the power of a mysterious mech. I've gotta say, that's pretty fresh for the series. You'll still have the ability to utilize various abilities both old and new, one of which is the Doctor ability which wouldn't be surprised if it turns out it's just a healing ability of sorts. Still, I'm a huge Kirby fan so I'll definitely be picking this one up.
Next up over on the Wii U is The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. The sequel to The Book of Unwritten Tales contains over twenty hours of playtime and hundreds of weird puzzles in a game that spoofs some of your favorite fantasy worlds. The game also features an orchestral soundtrack which if it sounds anything like the trailer, I wouldn't mind hearing more of it.
Then we have Wario: Master of Disguise on the Wii U Virtual Console. Wario loves to do anything that'll make him rich, so what better way than to don some disguises to do just that? Originally released on the Nintendo DS, Wario: Master of Disguise sees Wario finding a magic wand that makes him a Master of Disguise which he then uses to steal everything in his path. While I haven't had the chance to fully complete this game, I did enjoy what I played of it and do recommend it to fans of the Wario games.
