The main highlight of this week's Nintendo Download is, surprisingly, a game I had never heard of until writing this post. Kick & Fennick for the Wii U is a platformer by Jaywalkers Interactive where you play as Kick as he battles to help his robot companion Fennick as they bounce and blast their way through forty-five levels. Kick's blaster can not only dispatch enemies, but also be used to launch him through various parts of each level as seen in the trailer below.
Over on the Virtual Console we have Metroid Prime Hunters on the Wii U. First debuting on the original Nintendo DS back in 2006, Metroid Prime Hunters brought the Prime series to handhelds. Sadly I never really got into it myself because I just couldn't get the controls down in the demo (Metroid Prime: First Hunt), but the game itself looks great and we gave it a lot of praise back when we first reviewed it in 2006.
Finally we have Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie's Double Trouble on the New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console. In the final game of the Super NES trilogy, Donkey and Diddy have gone missing and now Dixie Kong must find them along with a new Kong known as Kiddy Kong. Each Kong has their own unique abilities as in the previous games and you must take advantage of them to complete over forty levels and find the missing Kongs.
