Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a couple months away and Square-Enix is ramping up the promotion in some stylish ways. They just released a new live-action trailer called "The Mechanical Apartheid" that casts the greater societal struggle between "natural" born humans and the augmented against the conflict between a young married couple.
It's evocative stuff and it picks up perfectly from the Panchaea crisis from the end of Human Revolution, where a mass-hacking of augmented people caused a temporary widespread hysteria that led to millions of deaths. In the wake of such tragedy, it does make you wonder if society would segregate the mechanically-enhanced into squalid ghettos. Kudos to the director, actors and other folks who made this trailer for incorporating such uncomfortable themes in a tasteful way. Check it out below, it's definitely worth a look.
