The latest in the series of MMOs making the jump to console territory is Star Trek Online. The developers, Cryptic Studios, have already made their first foray into console MMOs with the well received Neverwinter, and hopefully they will bring some of those strategies for success to Star Trek Online as well.
What makes this even more exciting is that it will reach consoles with a huge backlog of content, since the game has already been active for several years on PC; 11 seasons of content, to be precise.
Also exciting is that Cryptic says they are reworking the game's engine to bring it up to modernity, since a six year old game does tend to show its age.
No specific release date just yet, but expect it to arrive this fall.
