Nintendo’s 2DS system continues to be a true value option in the world of portable gaming. What originally launched as a budget and 3D-less version of the 3DS line of systems, is about to become incredibly cheap. Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo 2DS will see another price drop effective May 20, 2016.
Next week, the system will drop to a MSRP of $79.99, and that includes a free, downloadable version of Mario Kart 7. That is a crazy deal, especially considering that the game alone still sells for $29.99. As I noted in the past, I picked up the 2DS when it launched because the 3D effect that the traditional system utilizes gives me headaches. I can’t imagine that the system will get any cheaper than this, barring an end-of-product-life sale.
