How about that, we now know what that mysterious trailer was that showed up last week. Infinity Ward let loose with the first Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Reveal Trailer and it reveals that the game will be moving to the final frontier…space. In the reveal trailer, it is stated that they are now at war with the Settlement Defense Front after a surprise attack that no one saw coming. As the trailer progresses, it goes form war ravaged Earth, into the launch of space vehicles to a full-fledge battle just off Earth and on other locations in space. All to the a cover of David Bowie's “Space Oddity”.
While the trailer looks exciting and I like the continual advancement of the games direction, I think I am ready to get rid of all the razzle dazzle, super advanced weaponry and see what how one of these companies can take the series BACK to WWII and the roots of the game with advanced game mechanics. While CoD II was fabulous, with the advances in computing and graphics power that we have seen in the last 10 years, a WWII version that focuses strictly on campaign and less on multiplayer would be something that many people would welcome.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches worldwide on Nov 4th, 2016.
