DeeJ has finally spoken, and it's clear that he is just as confused as the rest of us.
Shortly after the April 12 update for Destiny, rumors have been flying around the internet that discusses a possible expansion for later in the year, roughly in the September-October range that has seen both the original and The Taken King releases come from.
In this week's blog post on their primary site, DeeJ, aka David Dague, who is Bungie's Community Manager, finally broke the silence regarding this news.
Oh, and hey. Rezyl Azzir is not one of us. We cannot confirm nor can we decipher these riddles. It’s a mystery to us as well. Fun stuff, though. If you don’t know what we’re talking about, don’t worry about it. If you do, enjoy the speculation.Just remember, nothing about Destiny is true until you read it right here.
So that's that. Rumors are great and all, but they're called rumors for a reason: You can rarely verify them and, often times, they are baseless and started by people who have no inner knowledge of a company's track.
To be fair, Bungie has talked about the next evolution in their ongoing MMOFPS, but most of what we've heard is that 2016 is not going to see a major expansion, and that's fine. With the rotation of Iron Banner, Challenge of Elders, Normal and Hard Mode raids on King's Fall, and hopefully the return of Sparrow Racing, there's plenty to keep you interested in Destiny for the time being.
