April is closing out with an insanely busy week. So busy, in fact, that I don’t even know where to start. We have a variety of titles worth checking out, in a variety of genres. Alienation is a new cooperative shooter from Housemarque, the great team behind such great hits such as Super Stardust HD, Dead Nation and Resogun. The game looks absolutely fantastic and a lot like Dead Nation, which makes it an absolute must-buy in my book.
Pinball fans are getting a new batch of tables from Zen Studios with the Alien Vs. Pinball pack for Pinball FX2. This will give you three new tables: Aliens, Alien Isolation and Alien vs. Predator. I have been playing these all weekend and can assure you that they are right up there with the best tables that Zen has put out over the past couple of years. Walking Dead fans can plan on putting the finishing touches on the Michonne mini-series from Tell Tale Games. The third and final chapter, What We Deserve, launches this week on nearly every platform out there.
In addition to all of this week’s gaming releases, we get treated to a new video game movie in theaters. Sony’s Ratchet & Clank will hit theaters this Friday and chronicle the events of the first game. The voice cast for the film has definitely stepped things up a bit over the game, bringing in heavy hitters such as Sylvester Stallone, Paul Giamatti, John Goodman and Rosario Dawson. Insomniac Games was heavily involved with the production of the film, so it should be pretty close, quality wise, to the game.
So tell us, what are you picking up this week?
