ArenaNet has recently released a massive update for Guild Wars 2 and it's expansion Heart of Thorns. While there were a lot of smaller changes in the update (as updates tend to do), here are some of the bigger changes:
- Easier exploration in Heart of Thorns maps: To make exploration more accessible whether playing with friends or solo, crucial waypoints are now uncontested. New events have also been added and event scaling has been adjusted. Several map-wide events will now reward players more often and give them more control over how they spend their time in the jungle.
- New dailies and achievements: New dailies and achievements are now available and players will now ear two gold for completing daily meta-achievements.
- New reward tracks and world linking for World vs. World: World vs. World now features reward tracks where players can make strategic choices about what to earn such as tomes of knowledge and crafting materials. Low-population worlds will also form an alliance to give them the numbers to go head-to-head with existing high-population worlds.
In addition, a new raid lobby is available that can help players join up with friends, organize their squad, hone their raiding skills, and have easy access to raid portals at the Lion's Arch Aerodrome. Finally, all Heart of Thorns players can use a free level-80 boost to max out their main character to test out new professions before taking on the elder dragon Mordremoth. More information can be found at the Guild Wars 2 website.
