Rarely does Nintendo get a chance to take the headline title for a release week without contention but that is exactly what is happening this week. Fox McCloud and crew are back as Star Fox Zero soars onto the Nintendo Wii U. This is a re-imagining of the original Star Fox tale, which was already remade once on the Nintndeo64. While it will follow the same storyline, the entire experience has been revamped into a more modern telling of the tale. Those who pick up the first run of Star Fox Zero will get a free second game in the package in the form of Star Fox Guard. This is a very addictive tower defense game that is set within the Star Fox universe. Eventually, this one will be released on its own as a digital title on the Nintendo eShop.
Black Ops 3 players are getting their next batch of DLC this week, at least on the PlayStation 4 console. This is the second pack released for the game and will be titled “Eclipse”. Those who pick it up will get four new multiplayer maps, including a remake of the classic World at War map “Bonzai” as well as a whole new zombies map. The other big title launching brings first-person spellcasting from the PC to both the PS4 and Xbox One. The game was originally released for the PC back in 2014. Magic is your primary weapon and you can wield it without any sort of limitation in terms of resources (mana).
