While last weekend was reserved specifically for PlayStation 4 players, the Battleborn beta test is open to everyone this weekend. PC and Xbox One players gained access to the test a few days ago as John posted, and all three platforms will be up and running until April 18, 2016.
The beta test allows players to experience both the cooperative and competitive aspects of the game. Those looking for a strictly cooperative experience can check out two chapters of the game’s campaign, “The Algorithm” and “Void’s Edge”. There are also two of the game’s competitive multiplayer modes included as well, Incursion and Meltdown.
Battleborn is a ton of fun to play, but just make sure that you are teaming up with other players. Attempting to play through the campaign portions by yourself results in a very frustrating and bland experience; this is meant to be played with friends, so grab a few and check it out this weekend!
You can get a little sampling of the cooperative play in the video below. This footage was captured from the PS4 version of the game and shows off one a portion of “The Algorithm” mission.
