The Dynasty Warriors formula can be applied to almost anything and still sell millions. We have seen them use the patented formula for Zelda, Gundam, and a variety of spinoff games from the original series. Koei Tecmo’s latest creation will take the action formula and attach it to one of the most popular anime franchises in existence: Attack on Titan.
The fast paced, over the top action will follow the storyline of the first season of the beloved anima series. Attack on Titan chronicles the experience of three kids who survive the destruction of their city by man-eating Titans and are inspired to join the military units that battle these deadly behemoths. The game will be available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. There will also be PS3 and Vita versions of the game but they will only be available digitally.
The developer is promising a steady stream of updates on the project between now and launch, including the reveal of the entire playable roster and the various features of the game. Until then, you can check out the first official trailer for the game below.
