Sony has
released a small Q&A on their Three Speech blog that attempts to answer some of the questions raised by the revelation this weekend that they are switching from hardware backwards compatibility to software compatibility for the European release of the PS3. Don't expect any good answers as Sony doesn't have them right now. They will be putting up a list of backwards compatible PS2 titles
online on March 23rd but that's as good as it's going to get.
