Destiny has been treading water for the last couple of months, trying to find ways to keep its players interested in things other than trying to search for a ghost shell that isn't terrible. While The Taken King expansion has done well for the MMO-shooter, it's hard to keep going on rotation with Iron Banner, raiding, Trials of Osiris, etc.
Today, Bungie has some news that will get it's player base excited again; myself included.
According to their official website, Update 2.2.0 will go live on April 12. Included in this update will be the following additions:
The main grumblings of the game lately have come from a lack of new content in the endgame. While the King's Fall raid is quite the challenge, it has reached the point where most of the player base has completed it on normal mode. The reason to continue going back into it is to improve gear, but there should be alternatives besides a raid that requires six total players and several hours of time. It would appear that Bungie has received that message.
We'll wait to see what the new PVE challenges and updated gear are, but as it stands we'll have to wait until April to find out.
