Campo Santo Productions posted the soundtrack to adventure game talk 'em up Firewatch. Chris Remo composed 33 minutes' worth of original music. If Remo's name sounds familiar, it may be from his past life as a video game journalist. He wrote for Shacknews and Gamasutra, also founding the Idle Thumbs website and podcast.
But he's no rookie to soundtracks. He's composed the music for Thirty Flights of Loving, Gone Home, and Space Base DF-9 (yeah buddy, get that Double Fine Kickstarter money!). If you need some chill, bedroom indie wavelengths flowing through your head, hit play. Some songs border on Red Dead, some border on Pac-Man on a warpath, which really sparks my imagination for coursing through this Wyoming landscape.
Sadly, we weren't sent review code for Firewatch, but we've got a reviewer on the job anyway. For adventure gamers, this one's a big deal.
Firewatch is out now for PC and PlayStation 4.
