You know those time-lapse makeup and fashion videos that are all the rage on Youtube these days? Well Techland sponsored one to promote Dying Light by exploring a century of zombie portayal. This video hits most of the milestones, including the classic Voodoo zombie, Night of the Living Dead's iconic shamblers, and the super-rabies/viral hemmorhagic variety popularized by 28 Days Later and Left for Dead.
They even include the crappy World War Z movie's crappy interpretation of the Solanum zombie which was done much better in the book (seriously, that was a terrible movie adaptation), but the video ends with the Volatile which is of course from Dying Light. I really like the bioluminescence, it's rather chilling.
I skipped over Dying Light when it first released, because I heard mixed reactions from friends. After the giant content update though I'm tempted to finally pick it up.
