If gamers were itching for more expensive early access titles then they're in luck as role-playing game Torment: Tides of Numenera is now available on Steam as an early access title. $44.99 is bit of a steep asking price for a game that contains about 10 hours of gameplay at the moment, with more promised later this year. But I digress. Described as a "thematic successor to Planescape: Torment" by developer inXile Entertainment, their new game is being created by some of the original developers including Chris Avellone, Colin McComb, and Mark Morgan.
The game's premise as described by the developers:
Torment tells a deep and emotional story set in Monte Cook's unique Ninth World from the new award-winning Numenera pen and paper game. Explore a world unlike any other to find your answer to the question "What does one life matter?"
There's no denying how amazing the game looks especially with its focus on the isometric view from classic role-playing games. The full game is planned for launch later this year with around 50 hours of gameplay.
