Twitter is making a Dying Light slot car go around a track with #TweetForSpeed
Techland, developer of Dying Light (Gaming Nexus score: 7/10), thinks outside the box when it comes to marketing. Well, not that using Twitter is thinking outside the box. But get this: If you go to Twitter and tweet something with the hashtag #TweetForSpeed, then you'll send a little slot car around a track, which lifts some fog of war and reveals more of the map ahead of Techland's upcoming DLC release, Dying Light: The Following. Michal Napora, the game's community manager, describes it this way:
"The idea came from the current trend of connecting anything and everything to the internet. We thought why not let anyone with a Twitter handle use the hashtag #TweetForSpeed to make a real difference in the lives of all Dying Light fans. Every tweet with this hashtag will make our specially modified slot car go around on its track and by doing so, it reveals more parts from the new map of the upcoming Dying Light: The Following ahead of its release. The further the car goes, the more will be revealed of the map of the already highly anticipated Dying Light: The Following for the both the fans of the game and newcomers alike."Watch it on Twitch.

January 20th, 2016 - Wroclaw, Poland In the era of smart homes, smart heating, heart rate monitoring and the possibility to connect almost anything to the internet; video game developer Techland made an even bolder move and created a never before seen experiment in the form of a Twitter campaign that will clear the fog from the map of the upcoming Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition.
