Garden Warfare 2 multiplayer beta sprouts tomorrow

Those gamers who are looking forward to next month’s Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 can get an early taste this week as the multiplayer beta for the game kicks off tomorrow. Beginning tomorrow, 1/14/2016, and running through the end of the weekend, players can download the free beta test from either the Xbox Live Marketplace or the PlayStation Store.

The beta test will have a number of features, showcasing many of the new things being added to the game. Included in the beta are:

  • limited access to the Backyard Battleground
  • six new playable characters: Rose, Citron, Kernel Corn, Super Brainz, Imp and Captain Deadbeard
  • 24-player battles in both old and new game modes
  • four new maps
