I had the chance to swing by the Kicker Audio booth at the 2016 CES to check out their lifestyle products. They had three new products on display including two portable Bluetooth speakers and a Bluetooth sport earbud.
First up was the KPw2 water-resistant portable Bluetooth speaker, which offers several improvements over its predecessor and is about the size of a water bottle. It includes dual drivers and with up to 10 hours of playback on a charge. Some of the improvements include charge-out capability better volume control buttons and new color options. The KPw2 is currently available for sale for an MSRP of $199.99 at www.kicker.com and other retailers.
Next up was the EB300 Bluetooth sports earbuds that were designed to match active lifestyles. The Bluetooth earbuds can sustain playback up to 8 hours on a charge and are designed to stay put while being active. They also are sweat and water resistant and come with three silicon tip sizes, have a built in microphone and volume controls so it can be used on the go. The Kicker EB300 is available on the kicker website for $79.99.
The last item I took a look at was my favorite, the KPM50 portable Bluetooth speaker. This little guy is designed for indoor use with dual drivers, an aluminum body and dual radiators. A full charge should net you around 10 hours of layback and it comes with both a charging cable, 3.5mm stereo cable and a leather case for travel and storage. As a surprise feature, it can also double as a speakerphone for your connected devices as it has a built-in microphone. The hands on demo I did with several songs produced clear and concise audio playback and what I would expect to hear from a Kicker portable speaker. The KPM50 is scheduled to release in March 2016 with an MSRP around $239.99
