This is not good news for Mass Effect fans.
Chris Wynn, one of the primary developers behind the upcoming title Mass Effect: Andromeda, announced his intention to leave BioWare, apparently effective immediately. Wynn took to Twitter to announce his decision.
It is with a heavy heart today to say that I am moving on from BioWare and Mass Effect: Andromeda, and returning to the USA.

The Andromeda team is the most talented team that I have ever worked with, truly inspiring to have worked with you each and every day.

I will join the passionate N7 community and will eagerly await the release of Andromeda with equal enthusiasm. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

It's unclear as to what prompted the decision, but make no mistake that this doesn't put BioWare in a great position. The company will obviously recover, but it's never a good sign when one of your primary developers decides it's time to leave a company midway through a huge project.
We'll have more for you on this if it becomes available.
