Next week will see the launch of Elite Dangerous: Horizons, the new expansion pack for the space flight sim game. Right now, the beta is available for those who want to jump in a little early.
Plantery landings is the big update where you can drop down and check out what the planet has to offer. I'm interested to see how multicrew works, where you can have people assume a role on a spaceship.
One nice byproduct of the update is that my Oculus Rift works again in the game. I'm using the latest SDK in Windows 10 and am able to launch Horizons and play with the HMD. Combined with some new Voice Attack options, I think I'll be spending a lot of time in space for the next few weeks.
