In August of last year, we reported that Gone Home, an emotional explore 'em up on PC, would be coming to Wii U. That never did—and won't—happen. But! Gone Home will be coming to PlayStation 4 on January 12, 2016.
Steve Gaynor, writer and designer of Gone Home at Fullbright, recorded a personal message that briefly addresses the game's hiatus. Though he's proud to report that the "PC-perfect conversion," made specifically for PS4, is now ready to let first-person exploration fans (like me) walk through the house on Arbor Hill to see all that a family left behind. Fullbright added 90 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage about the making of the game, too.
Gone Home found a special place in the hearts of a lot of gamers. I'm looking forward to it. January 12, everyone. Open house.
