Your final bastion of safety from Minecraft has fallen. On December 17, Minecraft launches on Wii U. That means the blocky phenomenon that started as a humble PC beta in 2010, will now be found on Windows, OS X, Linux, Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Raspberry Pi, and—ta-dahhhhh—Wii U.
I remember when the only thing I had to figure out on Minecraft was how to survive that first night. Now, finding its soundtrack on Spotify is as deep as I get. Still an amazing soundtrack, though.
You'll find it in the Nintendo eShop when you craft together $29.99. It'll come with several add-on content packs:
- Battle & Beasts Skin Pack
- Battle & Beasts 2 Skin Pack
- Natural Texture Pack
- City Texture Pack

And while more content packs will be available for purchase in the future, here's the list (16 deep) of what you can spend your gift card money on that December 17 launch:
