Rumors have been circling since mid-October thanks to some fans with data-mining algorithms, but now it's official. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is coming to the Wii U on March 4th 2016. Developed by Tantalus, the new game has been completely retextured and will now support a new Wolf Link and Midna Amiibo, in addition to the five previous Zelda Amiibo released for Super Smash Bros. The Wolf Link Amiibo will also be compatible with the as-yet-unnamed Zelda Wii U title, which is still on track for a 2016 release.
2016 is the 30th anniversary of Zelda so I understand that Nintendo wanted two big Zelda releases next year. Still, it leaves holiday 2015 pretty damn bare. It would've been really nice to get Twilight Princess HD in time for Christmas this year.
