If it were up to some of the other members of the staff of Gaming Nexus and the world in general would be shutting down this week in honor of one of the games launching into stores. A lot of people joke about calling into work or playing sick when Call of Duty releases, but the one game where people really do play hookie upon its release is Fallout. This week’s brings the long awaited Fallout 4. Gamers are dying to get their hands on the game and begin their exploration of a post-apocalyptic Boston. We’ll have our full review of the game a little bit later today which should help explain why people love this franchise so much.
Also in the cards this week the return of Lara Croft, however this time it is only on Microsoft’s consoles. Rise of the Tomb Raider is launching for the Xbox One and 360 this holiday season while everyone else has to wait until next year to get their hands on the game. If raiding tombs isn’t quite your cup of tea, then perhaps firing up the old PC and heading back to Starcraft will feed your gaming appetite as the beloved franchise gets a new expansion for Starcraft 2. THis one is a standalone pack, meaning that you don’t have to own the original release in order to play.
